The N-8000SG Q SIP Gateway allows you to connect the N-8000 IP Intercom System to a SIP phone system. Communication can be established from the N-8000 to the SIP phone system and vice versa. This also allows up to five conversations at one time with the ability to initiate a page and access the door remote control features.

The system shall allow interconnection between the intercom system and a SIP based system using a SIP gateway. The SIP gateway shall convert audio from the intercom audio packet format to and from the SIP audio packet format and vice versa. Systems that do not provide an interface to SIP based telephone systems shall not be considered equal. The SIP gateway shall allow up to five speech paths (conversations) simultaneously. Products that do not allow five speech paths per gateway will not be considered equal. Multiple instances of the SIP gateway shall be allowed. SIP telephones connected via the SIP gateway shall be able to connect to any station on the intercom system and page any pre-programmed intercom paging zone. The SIP extension shall be able to initiate a contact closure on any intercom station that has contact closure outputs that are capable of being activated remotely. Any station on the intercom may be programmed to dial out to a SIP extension. The SIP gateway shall be the TOA N-8000SG.
