The master unit includes the following functionalities:

“Number of Open Microphone Setting” supports a well-organized meeting. One, two or eight persons can be allowed to talk at any time to prevent the confusion that could result from several participants speaking at once.

“Conference Mode” sets the overall system behavior when talk keys on the conference units are activated exceeding the set number of authorized speakers, microphone ON/OFF operation can be set to any of the following: STANDARD: Microphone turned on earlier has higher priority. OVERRIDE: When a new microphone is turned on, the previously turned on microphone is turned of. VOICE ACTIVATION: Turn on microphone automatically by voice. The maximum number of open is fixed at 8 units and the 8 units opened earlier have priority. CHAIRMAN ONLY: Only the chair unit can turn on microphone

“Time out Function” prevents inadvertently leaving the microphone on. With this function ON, the microphone will automatically switch itself off after a 30-second period of silence after the Talk Key was pressed.

“Installation Test” for the at-a-glance confirmation of communication. If activated on the Main Unit, the microphone indicators in the chairman / delegate Units light up.

“Feedback Suppressor (FBS) Function” that locates up to seven feedback frequencies and sets notch filters to eliminate them.

“Recording Function” allows to record in MP3 format and audio files can be stored to a supplied 1 GB internal memory or additional USB memory (up to 32 GB).

With the use of an optional rack mounting bracket, it can be mounted in an EIA standard equipment rack (4-unit size). The master unit shall provide (1) external microphone input (600 Ω, -53 dBV, unbalanced, phone jack). (1) Line Output (-10 dB, 10 kΩ. Ø6,3 phone jack (2P), (1) REC output (-10 dB, 10 kΩ. RCA pin jack, monaural) and (1) headphone Ø3,5 mini jack (monaural). (1) PC connector CAT5 STP. (2) RJ45 connector for up to 32 Chairman/Delegate units each. (1) RJ45 connector for up to 5 Sub control units. Speech volume control adjusts for the microphone volume of the chairman unit and delegate unit shall be located on the front panel. Power requirement shall be 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz, maximum 60 W power consumption (using the provided AC Power Supply) and the operating temperature range shall be 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F). The Main Unit shall weigh 2.2 kg (4,85 lbs) and be constructed of surface-treated steel plate with black metallic paint, semi-gloss finish with dimensions (W x H x D) of 361 x 100,4 x 184.2 mm (14.21" x ,95" x 7.25" ). The master unit shall be the TOA model TS-D1000-MU. The rack mounting bracket shall be the TOA model MB-TS920.
