Puskás Arena, Budapest, Hungary

The Puskás Arena, named after a legendary Hungarian soccer player, was almost completely rebuilt in the course of its nomination as a venue for the UEFA Euro 2020. In addition to the desire for state-of-the-art technology, the underlying FIFA regulations were of course a decisive factor in the choice of technical equipment.

The stadium, which has three levels, is used for both sporting and show events and displays its eventful history in the adjacent Sports Museum.

Built as a UEFA Category 4 stadium, the arena has 67,215 seats or more than 80,000 concert capacity. The corresponding specifications for the installed technology were designed and installed by our partner INTERTON Group. To meet the technical requirements of the UEFA, a high STI value, a high frequency range, a high sound pressure level and special sound quality had to be achieved. To meet these requirements, INTERTON Group chose loudspeakers from TOA Electronics, among others, and thus equipped only the second stadium in Europe to meet the strict audio requirements of the current UEFA stadium infrastructure regulations.
